The International Wrestling Tournament "Dan Kolov - Nikola Petrov"

The Bulgarian Wrestling Federation has confirmed the calendar for 2026.
This year, the largest wrestling tournament in Bulgaria - Dan Kolov - Nikola Petrov, will be held for the first time in Plovdiv from March 26 to 29 at the "Kolodruma" hall.

The International Wrestling Tournament "Dan Kolov - Nikola Petrov" is the most popular and strongest international wrestling tournament in Bulgaria, which has been held annually since 1963. The competition is held in both styles - classical and freestyle wrestling, as well as for women.

The tournament bears the names of the first Bulgarian wrestlers who brought honors at the international level - Nikola Petrov and Dan Kolov. Dan Kolov (freestyle) won the European gold in 1936 at the championship in Paris, and Nikola Petrov (classical style) triumphed with the world title in Paris in 1900.

Last year, Plovdiv hosted the State Wrestling Championship again in the "Kolodruma" hall.
